What is the purpose of the organization?
To serve as a unified voice for the regional utility and heavy construction industry and to promote communication and education throughout our industry.

Who are the members?
Large and small utility and heavy construction firms, site developers, marine contractors, vendors of many different products and services, including raw materials and professional services, municipalities and regional authorities.
When do you meet?
Usually, the first Wednesday of each month, with some of the regular meetings being replaced by special events such as the Holiday Gala in December, the spring and fall golf outings and Chili on the Chic in October.
Who leads HRUHCA?
Leadership of the association is provided by the elected officers and the board of directors chosen from the membership. The board consists of the officers, including the president, president-elect, secretary/ treasurer, immediate past president, general counsel, as well as two one-year term directors and two two-year term directors.
What kind of time commitment is involved?
Like anything else that you do in your business, you get out of the membership what you put into it. Meetings are held monthly and run about 2 and ½ hours. There are numerous committees that can always use your help and there is usually some kind of community service project that is in need of volunteers. It is all up to you.
